Mid close up

The very first scene in the clip is similar in the positioning of the actor however the shot type is different. My clip is in nearer to a mid close up where as the original is near a close up. The Original clip has much more to it building up to that point in the screen shot. Where as my clip stays in that certain position. The Lighting in our clip is bright and gives of a positive/happy mood but the original clip has a low lighting with a red tint giving of a negative/Unhappy/Dangerous mood. In the Original clip the characters costume contributes to set the negative/ Unhappy/ Dangerous mood in the clip, My clip does not contribute to setting any mood in the clip.

This scene in the clip is not as similar to the original, the positioning of the actor is completely different. In The original the character is lay down diagonally covering all three thirds of the screen. Also the shot type is different, My clip is in nearer to a mid close up where as the original is nearer to a close up. The clip is similar to how it builds up, They both lie still showing the character is ill. Again The Lighting in our clip is bright and gives of a positive/ happy mood but the original clip has a low lighting giving of a negative/ Unhappy/ sad mood and also In the Original clip the characters costume contributes to set the negative/ Unhappy/ sad mood in the clip, My clip does not contribute to setting any mood in the clip.

As well as the last scene, this scene in the clip is not as similar to the original, the positioning of the actor is completely different. In The original the character is covering the last third of the screen. Also the shot type is different, My clip is in nearer to a mid close up where as the original is nearer to a close up. The clip is similar to the original as it is a quick clip showing the emotion on the actors face and changing to the next shot. Also the Lighting in our clip is bright and gives of a positive/happy mood but the original clip has a low lighting giving of a negative/ Unhappy/ sad mood.

Over the shoulder Mid close up.

Over the shoulder close up.

Here is an over the should shot of Dr Browning threatening Mira. This clip is very similar although it does have its differences. The original clip is a close up, over the shoulder shot type whereas my clip is a mid close up over the shoulder shot type. The way the characters are positioned in this scene is similar to the original. Both characters are covering the middle and last third of the screen. The clip is also similar to the original as it stays in the same position it does not pan along the camera it just stays in that one place. Another difference in the two clips is that the Lighting in our clip is bright and gives of a positive/happy mood but the original clip has a low lighting giving of a negative/Unhappy/sad mood. In the Original clip the characters costume contributes to Dr. Browning's character, using reds and blacks to connote danger My clip does not do this.

Over the shoulder close up.

Like the previous scene this scene is a over the shoulder close up. This clip is very similar although it does have its minor differences. As well as the original clip, my clip is a over the shoulder close up shot type. The way the characters are positioned in this scene is slightly different to the original. In the original clip the female actor is position covering the first third of the screen whereas in mine the female actor is positioned in the last third of the screen. Also the clip is similar to the original as it stays in the same position it does not pan along the camera it just stays in that one place. One other difference in the two clips is that the Lighting in our clip is bright and gives of a positive/happy mood but the original clip has a low lighting giving of a negative/Unhappy/sad mood. In the Original clip the characters costume contributes to Dr. Browning's character, using reds and blacks to connote danger My clip does not do this.

IN WHAT WAYS DOES YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT USE, DEVELOP OR CHALLENGE FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF REAL MEDIA PRODUCTS?
My media product may not look as professional as the original product but it does use conventions of real media products. I have used quick shots, packing my clip with as much footage as possible to hook the audience, making them want to watch all of the new exciting story lines. I have used dramatic music creating a mood and suspense in the clip. As this is my practice piece my clip doesnt really develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products.
