Room Arrangement: Students will work at workstations created by two tables pushed together with room on each side for only 2 seats. Step 3 Positive interdependence. The task at hand is as follows. Students will create a poster that shows an example of what it takes to be a great team. 1. The group must choose an example that represents a group of people who work together on a team. This could be a sports team, super hero team, research team, government team, military team, etc. As long as it is identifiable as a group of people working together on the same team. Once your team agrees on the team that you all picked, each member must choose one of the following tasks to complete using the poster. The group must complete all 4 tasks. 2. Draw a colorful and creative picture of the team you chose so that it is identifiable by your classmates. 3. Write all the qualities that make your team work so well together. In other words, what does your team have or do to make them better than other teams? 4. Using your team example, identify the different abilities that each team member has to bring to the group and describe how those abilities benefit your team. 5. Present! Help your teammates complete their goal of finishing this poster and you will be presenting what they come up with to the rest of the class (3min presentation).

Accountability- Each student will have to pick one of the four tasks to complete and they will have to work together to decide who is going to do what. This poster and presentation will be graded collectively on how well each group member stays on task, and how well they connect their task to the team that the group decided on. If one person does not complete their task, then the whole team gets 0 points. The group with the best poster will receive an extra (3pts). The best will be decided by two factors. The groups grade decided by me using the following rubric, and also by the vote of the class. Each student will vote on whose poster they thought was the best, and you cannot vote for your own poster. Task 1 Pick and agree on a team and complete all tasks.(complete (100%) or incomplete (0%)). Task 2 Drawing your team (6 pts) Task 3 Qualities of working together (6pts) Task 4 Identify abilities of the teammembers (6pts) Task 5 Present the poster (6)

Step 4 Social Skill Students will need effective time management because the students will only have one day to complete the task. Step 5 Processing When the students have a completed poster I will be able to identify that they used their time wisely to complete the task.
