June Bumba Meu Boi is a popular regional festival which takes place annually and celebrates a traditional folk story through parades, music, dance and theatre - featuring giant puppets. The most unique feature of this festival is the two opposing teams are so tight that streets can be clearly seen to be colour divided.

People take the opportunity to tell stories and get their families together. In contrast to its name, this festival is a time of celebration, where parties and sugar skulls are very common.

Where? New Orleans, United States When? March/April Mardi Gras is all about music, parades, and excitement. All of the businesses and roads are shut down - people are walking everywhere and meeting new friends. Everyone is wearing purple, green, and gold, adorned with long beads costumes and masks.
