Skill Review: On white boards, GRAPH two sample equations using slopeintercept method: 1. 2. Vocabulary Review: KIM CHART: System of Equations, Intersection, Solution Essential Questions: 1. How can you find a solution(s) to a system of equations? 2. How many solution types are possible for a system of equations? 3. How can you use system of equations to solve problems in real life? LUNCH Guided Practice Worksheet: Students graph equations on white boards individually. Check with a partner (I walk around to double check as well). Depending on time, skip example #3 Small Group Investigation/Real Life Application: You have decided to apply for an after school job to earn spending money. Two companies have offered you a job. Theater Z will pay you a weekly stipend of $50 plus $5 per hour. Out and In Burger will pay you a weekly stipend of $10 plus $10 per hour. For what amount of hours do these two jobs pay the same? Which job will you choose, and why?
