Introduction
The device applies to the network connection programs with CDMA1X/3G(EVDO) network access technology. Using the device, you may have the following function: CDMA 1X /3G(EVDO) network connection SMS Phonebook Settings Call

1. Network connection You may easily connect to the Internet using this device. 2. SMS SMS includes the following functions: New Edit Send Delete Reply Forward

Save number Save to the favourite box Export

3. Phonebook Phonebook includes: all contacts and groups. And all the contacts are divided to PC and UIM. The following settings are available to the contacts on PC or UIM: New Edit Delete Send SMS Copy Move Search Export Import

Aiming at the group, you may do the following settings by clicking the right button: Rename group Delete group Group SMS

Main interface introduction


1. / Function icons : Connect / disconnect to 1X /3G(EVDO) Internet

SMS: Access to the short message service. Phonebook: Access the contact management window

Settings: Set up the device related information. : Access the call window 2. Status information The main menu will display the operators name when the network is connected. Display No Device when the device is not found. Display No UIM when UIM card is not found or when UIM card is invalid. Display Initializing while initializing. Display Searching while searching the network. Display No Service when the network is unsearchable.

3. Signal status bar Indicates the current network signal strength

4. System tray icon Click to close the main menu, the system tray icon will display on

the PC status bar.

5. Right button menu of the task bar icon Open: Open the main menu Connect/Disconnect: Connect or Disconnect to 1X/3G(EVDO) Internet Volume statistics: Display the connections Volume information Phonebook: Open the phonebook menu SMS: Open the SMS menu Exit: Exit the device application.

Enter the main menu


The program will auto run while inserting the device after installation, and also run it by choosing the application in <start> menu. If you set PIN code, please input correct PIN code in the PIN code input dialog, and click <OK>. You have three chances to input, and the UIM card will be locked if all input are not correct. Then input dialog for PUK code will appear. Input the correct PUK code, and the PIN code will come back to the factory value. You

have ten chances to input PUK code. Please contact with your operator if all 10 times are not correct. Please confirm to input the correct PIN code, or you can not use any functions of the program normally.

Connect to Internet
1. Use the default connection profile The program will dial to connect according to the settings in your UIM using the default connection profile. Connecting Click on from the main window; will change into and the Wait several seconds until the connection is established; Once you are connected, connection information window will appear in the tray bar. Disconnecting Click on Internet. from the main window to disconnect from the

NoteOnly one network can connect to Internet when 1X and EVDO network are all availably. So one network is connected to Internet, the icon to indicate other network is disable. As rule, if you use 3G(EVDO) network to connect Internet, while the 3G(EVDO) signal become to weak, the connection will switch to CDMA 1X automatically.

2. Use the defined connection profile In the main menu, click , choose <Connection profile> from the menu

to open the connection setting window.

Add a new connection profile Click <Add> to open the new connection profile adding interface: 1. 2. Choose <New >: Click <next> to enter the profile setting interface; Input the profile name, APN and the other parameters; Click <Finish> to add the new profile in the available list. Choose from the predefined list: Click <next> to enter the predefined list; Choose one profile from the list; Click <Finish> to add the new profile in the available connection profile list.

NoteYou may get the APN information from your network operator.

Setting a default connection profile Choose one from the available connection profile list; Click <Set default> to set it as the current default profile. Confirm your choice, and click or to connect.

SMS
In the main menu, you may click 1. View new SMS When new messages come, the system bar will appear information pop dialog. Click <View> on the pop frame to open the inbox menu; or you may directly click to enter the inbox; to open the SMS interface.

Click left key, then the detail content of the chosen message will display on the bottom of the window; double click left key to open reading window.

2. New Using shortcut, you may click <New>, and the new SMS window

will display; Input the content of message in the blank editing window.

3. Edit Choose a message from the draft, and double click to open it; Choose <Send> or <Save> if finish the message content.

4. Send 1There are two methods to input the message receiver number: Directly input the receiver number, and use , to separate more numbers; Click <To> to open the phonebook window; You may choose a single number or use ctrl/shift key to choose multi-numbers from the phonebook list, and click <OK>; 2 Click <Send> to send the message; the failed sending message will be saved in the outbox.

5. Delete Choose one message or multi-messages by ctrl/shift key from the message list; Click <Delete> on the shortcut menu; Click <OK> on the prompt Are you sure to delete dialog.

NoteThe deleted messages from inbox/outbox/draft/favorite box of your PC are saved in the dustbin. If the messages are deleted

from the dustbin, they will be deleted permanently. And the dustbin never save the deleted messages from UIM. 6. Clear all Choose one message or multi-messages by ctrl/shift key from the message list; Click right buttonchoose <Clear all>; Click <OK> on the prompt Are you sure to clear the box dialog.

7. Revert Choose one message or multi-messages by ctrl/shift key from the dustbin/favorite box; Click right button, choose <revert> to revert the selected messages.

8. Reply Choose one message from the inbox/favorite boxthen click the <Reply> button in the shortcut menu; The number will auto-display , and it can be modified; Input the replying content, and click <Send>.

9. Forward Choose one message from the inbox/favorite boxand click the

<Forward> button in the shortcut menu; The message content auto-display in the editing dialog, which could be modified; Input the receiver numberthen click<Send>.

Note The outbox contains the messages sent successfully and unsuccessfully, and only the messages sent successfully could be forwarded.

10. Save number Choose one message from the inbox/favorite box, then click the <Save number> button in the shortcut menu; Edit the interrelated information, and click <OK> to save the number to the phone book.

11. Save to favorite Choose one message or multi-messages by ctrl/shift key from the inbox/outbox/draft; Click the <Save to favorite box> button in the shortcut menu, then the chosen message will be saved to the favorite box.

12. Export Choose one message or multi-messages by ctrl/shift key from the

inbox/outbox/draft/favorite box; Right click, choose <export> then the interface of saving path will pop up; Click <Save>, then the message will be exported and saved as *.txt file. Note It is the same way to operate the inbox messages of UIM with PC.

Phonebook
In the main menu, click to open the phonebook window.

Phonebook contains all the contact and groups. And all the contacts are divided into PC and UIM.

The following settings are available to the contacts on PC or UIM: 1. New Click <New> on the shortcut menu to open the new contacts window; Input all the prerequisite information, then click <Save>, and the new contact can be saved to the current contacts list.

Choose one contact, then click <Edit> on the shortcut menu to open the edit window;

Modify the prerequisite information, and click <Save> to save the modified content.

3. Delete Choose one contact or multi-contacts by ctrl/shift key from the contacts list; Click <Delete> on the shortcut menu; Click <OK> on the prompt Are you sure to delete dialog .

NoteThe deleted contacts can not be resumed.

4. Send SMS Choose one contact or multi-contacts by ctrl/shift key from the contacts list; Click <Send> on the shortcut menu; Edit the contentand click <Send>.

5. Copy Choose one record or multi-records by ctrl/shift key from the same storage site; Click <Copy to> on the shortcut menu;

Choose the target storage site you want to copy to, the record will be copied to the chosen storage site.

6. Move Choose one record or multi-records by ctrl/shift key from the same storage site; Click <Move to> on the shortcut menu; Choose the target storage site you want to move to, the record will be moved to the chosen storage site.

7. Search Input the key words in the blank space on the shortcut menu; Click <Search> on the shortcut menu; The chosen bar will be located on the records matched with the key words.

8. Export Choose one contact or multi-contacts by ctrl/shift key from the contacts list; Right click, choose <Export>, then saving path of the exporting files; Click <OK> to finish exporting the contacts records. choose the format and

9. Import Right click, choose <Import>, then choose the file format and files to be imported; Click <OK>, the file content will be imported into the current interface. Choose <Group>, right click in order to: New group: to add a new contact group. Group SMS: Send SMS to all groups of contacts.

Note The new group name can not be blank or duplicated with the other groups. You can only manage the contacts group in the PC phonebook.

Choose one group, right click in order to: Rename: Rename the group name. Delete group: Delete the chosen group. Group SMS: Send SMS to all the contacts of the group.

Settings
In the main menuclick to open the pull-down menu, including

different setting items about the software. 1.Network Mode

Click on <Network Mode>to select, network mode defaulted is auto;

Click on <Hybrid>/< EVDO Only >/< 1X Only > to relevant network mode.

2. PIN lock On the pull-down menu, click <PIN lock>; choose Enable/Disable to activate the PIN Enable/Disable dialogue frame; Input the correct PIN code; Click <OK> to point out the PIN code Enabled/Disabled.

3. Modify PIN On the pull-down menu, click <Modify PIN> to enter the PIN modification interface; Input the original PIN code; Input the new PIN code, and click <OK> to confirm the new PIN code. NoteThe PIN code could be modified only it is enable.

4. Connection profile In the down-draw menu, click <Connection profile> to enter the connection profile window displaying the available connection profiles.

Add new connection profiles Click <Add> to open the new connection profile interface; Choose < New >, then click <Next> to input the profile name, APN and the other parameters in the profile setting window; choose from the predefined list: click <Next> to enter the predefined list interface, then choose a profile; Edit Choose a profile from the available list; Click <Edit> to open the editing interface; Modify the needed parameters, and click <OK> to confirm the modification. Delete Choose a profile from the available list; Click <Delete> to confirm deleting the profile. Click <Finish> to add the new profile in the available list.

Set default Choose a profile from the available list; Click <Set default> to set the profile as default.

5. SMS settings On the pull-down menu, click <SMS settings> to enter the SMS settings window:

New message storage site Set up New SMS storage site: PC or UIM. Message alert Use to activate the message prompting ringtone; Click <Browser>, and choose *.wav files to change it.

6. System settings Sound setting Use to activate the prompting sound for Internet connection established or terminated.

7. About & Help About: In the down-draw menu, click <About> to display the version information about the software; Help: In the down-draw menu, click <Help> to display the user manual of the software.

Call
Click on Recent. from the main window. The call function contains: Dial and

Dial 1. Input a number to call: Input number in edit interface; Click on to call.

2. Insert a number in contacts to call: Click on in the dial;

Select a contact, the number will display in edit interface; Click on to call.

Note: No network or Invalid (U)SIM card, only support emergency call.

Emergency call This Modem support international emergency calls, such as 112, 911, etc. If the Modem is within the network, these numbers can be dialed no matter with invalid (U)SIM card. Just input the emergency number and click on to call.

Note: Some countries or areas may set other numbers as emergency calls so the network provider may store other emergency call numbers in your (U)SIM card.

Answer a call

Received a call, the PC will display the call number of pop up. Click on Click on to answer the call; to end the call or reject the call;

During the call, you can control the volume.

Note: Win7 system, if the CPU occupancy rate is high, use the voice feature will exist instability.

Recent Use this menu to view the calls you have dialed, received, or missed and relevant information. Click on <Recent> display all calls information. Select the call type in all recent menu, these are contain: Missed: This menu displays the most recent calls you did not answer. Dialed: This menu displays the most recent calls you dialed. Received: This menu displays the most recent calls you have received. Call In the call logs list, select an item; Click on <Call>.

Delete In the call logs list, select one or more items; Click on <Delete>, a dialog box will ask Are you sure to delete this item?;

Click on <Yes>, the call logs will be deleted.

Delete all In the call logs list, click on <Delete all>, A dialog box will ask Are you sure to delete these items?; Click on <Yes>, these call logs will be deleted.

FAQ
1. QWhich PC operation systems does this PC suit support? A Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.

I cannot install applications The reasons are shown below: 1. If automatic installation unfinished, please check whether the antivirus and security software is working. If it is, close it and reinstall. To those which cannot be disabled, close the monitor program and do not start it until installation finished. 2. On some PCs, installation of the driver may take a long time because of the PC configuration. So please wait and do not cancel or unplug the device during installation. If it failed, uninstall the driver first and then reinstall it.

QWhy is the network not able to be registered? AThere are following possible reasons: 1. The local signal is unstable; 2. The version of the client software is out of date; 3. Something is wrong with the hardware of data card. You may try the following methods accordingly:

1. Retry it at the other places; 2. Update the client software or the main board software to the latest version; 3. Check the hardware or change the device, then try again.

QWhy does it fail to connect to internet? APlease check if the connection profile is correct.

Q What to do when the speed is not enough to make connection and data transmission APlease check the local network signal.

QWhy is the message failed to be sent? APlease check if the SMS center number is correct.

QWhy is the message failed to be received? APlease check if your UIM space is full.
