Hey, yeah Ben contacted me about this. I am racking my brain.

You would be better at composing all this i'll give you some info in point form. As far as i know radius was her first band. Began Gen and I playing guitar when we lived together end of 1997. Milo joined on drums when he moved in to the same house. Prob a few months later. You replaced Milo and Phil also joined on bass, can assume 1998. I can not remember playing with anyone of note. Info about who played with. All I remember is Mainly playing the Empress. I'm sure you renember more or have an archive? I think i will try and finish work at 2 tomorrow. Can we meet after then? Like 2.30/3?

My name is Craig Darryl Skull Mac Peade and i first met sweet Genevieve when me and my band 2 litre DOLBY moved into her house with Georgie, Milo, Phil, Nigel and Dylan, at 44 Simpson St near Dennis Station in Northcote after re-locating from Sydney to escape heartbreak, the pokies and the Olympics . It was highly dramatic INTENSE crazy wild party times until we finally got places of our own. Phil played with 2 litre DOLBY and was jamming with Gen and Georgie and they had such complex, subtley intricate and intuitive intertwining guitar parts. They reminded me of the Tendrils and i was captivated, transfixed, enchanted and lost. Too
late for post-rock, were we too demanding for people's ears at the time or too fragile and sensitive? We supported the DATSUNS upon a Wednesday night at the Punters Club! We used to rehearse in Phil's room at a place we shared at 21 Loyola Avenue Brunswick. I felt like we were kind of like peas in a pod. Bludging stuff off each other. Giving each other love, affection and bullshit. We all got so high from the music. We were an emotionally dysfunctional unit. A retarded family. Songs would end laughing and astounded at how surprisingly good AND SHIT we could be at playing music together. Irrespective of the song we would all crack up laughing giddily at each other. We went on a one single tour to Adelaide and it - I - was emotional... Me and Leo from the Dolby shared the ushering in of this god-forsaken millennium with Gen and George. And we shared a strange New Years a year later in Lake Eildon. In 2001, Gen and I went on a date together to the air show at Laverton on my now estranged step-nieces 16th birthday. Still have the ticket stub and signs we wrote together form y niece who i hope still has kept the photos. We popped in the Flinders Streer black and white photo booth. She was like the girlfriend i never had. One of the few people who you not only enjoyed to make laugh but she encouraged your own absurdity. But she wasn't just a good time girl. She had complexity, nuances and a strange emotional distance that i not only related to but also alienated me. She was a kind of mirror. One melancholic overcast day we layed in her bed side-by-side together and just got stoned and listened intently...INTENSELY...to Sonic Youth's Dirty laughing and crying and replaying what we loved and disliked. Another melancholic afternoon was transformed together out the back of Simpson Street with some of the little Al Green records, a bottle vodka and a brain-washing introduction to The Strokes' phenomenon of their album This Is It. Why Gen even got me a job packing boxes at Madman Entertainment in Richmond! I was hopelessly inept! And then we got lost. Re-united at a Town Bikes show in North Melbourne, was it Milk?; Gen looked like she had her financial shit together and i held her hand throughout the show. Wish i held it more...and often... I moved house just last month from a home down from Triple RRR. Occasionally with some Dutch courage i would telephone...the promises of plans never made, misplaced or forgotten... I went through my hoardings of stuff and came upon a set-list by the Bites...upon it in blue pen it is written "Happy 30th My Sweet You will always be my plus 1. A heart is drawn or scrawled. Unbroken. Next to a name. Gen xxoo. A soundtrack of songs play...Rolling Stones' Wild Horses...Sonic Youth's 100%, JC ...all of Lee Renaldo's ... and Cher's If i could turn back time... Rather than walking home crying in the rain I wished this and that...for her to be in my band Kid Candy playing covers with a sung brass sections ... they sing the saxophone and trumpet bits Craig Darryl Skull MacPeade's Kid Candy and The Brass Horns with its starring feature attraction Genevieve - Genny B for Blackmore choreographing accompanying dance moves... we would play Feargal Sharkey's You Little Thief ... The Models Out of Mind Out of Sight...Huey Lewis and the News...and the like... Anyways Marcus Barczak recorded this little piece of ragged triumphant sublimity at Bakehouse and we mixed it together with him at his as Cathy Freeman win the 400 metres gold medal at the Shitney - Sydney Olympics ... Godspeed You! Blackmore Empreror... of fear! Regret! Hope! and Desire!...as she would say, calling out and taking the piss out of my debut live performance art pretensions - Carla Town Bike Yamine cameoed in that...the future is still bleak, bright and beautiful...What are the rockstars doing today? ...starting a band with Magic Dirt's Dean and i bags playing with them... the van is gassed but the pistons are cracked, and when we

close our eyes alls we can see is: open road, telephone poles, a sun that is always setting, and a tangled up melody falling down slowly
