Lend Me Free

Free from rage my lord That burns my soul’s abode That I hate somebody For reasons right or wrong I ‘m not sure but I long Freedom from hate’s fury Which would only accentuate My soul’s penury But human I am To forget or forgive insult Causes my pride to tumult And shriek and scream To revert back in equal measure But a part of me feels That measure for measure Is no treasure So I pray Thee Lend me My Lord Free
