6P Strategy for Baby Cereals/ Food

Main competitor for Cadbury in this segment is Nestle with its Cerelac Baby food brand. Slowly we plan to expand into various flavors and also stages of Baby food. . Initially we plan to launch in 2 flavors which are Cereal Rice & Multi Grain & Chocolate and Cereal Rice & Multi Vegetables & Chocolate.• Product: This category existing and is fast growing which makes it attractive for Cadbury to foray into.

We planned to price it a small premium over the competitors product to display the product superiority. We will eventually adapt Value Based pricing with superior products that are in pipeline.• Price: Cadbury is a new entrant in this category therefore we decided to go with Competitive Pricing strategy. .

. Tier 2 cities at retailers. Baby Food as a category is still new in Towns and villages of India. This is done at a later stage.• Place: We plan to pilot launch this across the Tier 1. malls. chemists. Therefore we plan to build this category in these places and launch the product there.

We intend to do on ground activities in various malls across country.• Promotion: Promotion is the most important aspect as there are dominant players in the market and Cadbury should connect itself to the target group as a healthy baby food from its initial perception of a chocolate brand. . We also plan to start an activity involving the supply chain so that they can promote the product at the floor level.

.• Pack: We initially plan to launch this product in 4 different SKU’s – 5 Kg Tin can – 1 Kg Tin can – 1 Kg Refill pack – 200 Gram Pouch  This is to facilitate convenience for various users.
