Installation Instructions for ANSYS 11

1. Click on Install ANSYS/ANSYS Workbench Products 11.0

2. English will be select so just click OK

3. The InstallShield Wizard will open, click Next to start installation

4. Select “I Agree” and click Next

5. ANSYS will install on the C:drive of your machine. Click Next

6. At the Select Features window click Next

7. Click Next to start copying files.

8. ANSYS has now installed on your machine click Next to start the licensing
setup.

9. Click Yes at “Is this a license server machine?”

10. Click No at “Do you have a license file to enter during the installation?”

11. Click Yes to continue with the installation.

12. Click Finish to complete installation process

13. To register ANSYS to the license server you need to run the ANSYS_ADMIN
Utility go to Start – Programs – ANSYS FLEXlm License Manager –
ANSYS_ADMIN Utility
14. Click on Specify the License Server

15. Click on Add Server Specification

16. Select 3-server for the number of license server.

Enter cert1.srv.nuigalway.ie for Hostname 1
cert2.srv.nuigalway.ie for Hostname 2
cert3.srv,nuigalway.ie for Hostname 3
Click OK
17. Click Close to complete registration of License Server
