A three phase separator is to be designed for production rate of 200kg/s of hydrocarbons and 40kg/s water.

The hydrocarbon composition is taken from McCains black oil reservoir fluid study. At stock tank conditions this will yield about 110,000bbl/day. The inlet three- phase separator is to operate at 20bar and 350K. the separator is to be designed to separate 100micron oil droplets in the gas phase, 250 micron water droplets from the oil phase and 250 micron oil droplets from the water phase.
