Skill Set Should be able to configure and manage L2 & L3 Network Switches, including creation of VLAN, Inter-VLAN routing, Inter-Switch Link and 802.1Q Encapsulation, QoS-Based Forwarding, Remote Monitoring, PortBased Snooping, Access Control Lists, Load Balancing, CDP, Hot Standby Router Protocol, NIC port teaming in Switches, configuring Gigabit Ether Channel between 2 Switches. Should be able to configure LAN, VAN, Voice ports interfaces, Routing on CISCO 3900/2900/1900 Series Routers and necessary routing protocols, IPv4 and IPv6 routing. Access control list, NAT and PAT, SNMP configuration. Should be familiar in network integration of web server, database systems, desktop applications and application server. Diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective components in network.
