pills, diet programs, slimming creams, liposuction – all of these things seems to be the normal part of the current trend. However did you have ever thought of the fact whether the trend of losing the fat had a beginning? The Beginning of Low-Carb Diet and Diet Book Doctor Harvey of England was the first one to treat a patient named William Banting for the case of obesity. Harvey advised him to cut down the sugars and starches In fact, he told him not to eat more than the minimum daily amount that was required Hence this was the beginning of the low carb food So he decided to write down all the points and publish a book The book that he wrote was published in the year 1862 and this book was called as Corpulence Addressed to Public. This book also came to be the very first diet book in history. Way of Chewing In 19th century, Britain’s four time Prime Minister Willaim Gladstone had suggested a theory according to which he suggested that food should be chewed 32 times before actually swallowing it. This theory was actually supported by the principle that can reduce ones appetite leading to weight loss . This advice that was given by the Prime Minister was very much influential and it also led to title of Great Masticator who was named Horace Fletcher. but he chewed the food until it became liquid. This was then followed by more people. He also advised that all kinds of meat must be avoided along with tea, coffee and alcohol . It was also him who spread the principle that people shouldn’t eat until they felt hungry and that people should have a happy disposition during meal times Calories taken After this there came a chemist with new ideas. He was named Wilbur Atwater. He was the one who discovered the caloric value of all types of food. but when he suggested this there were not more takers. But after almost twenty years people believed in this and made it something very important for dieting There was a doctor in California named Lulu Hunt Peters and he was the first person to tell about calorie counting diet When people came to know about this, they were all excited and they all followed a very strict diet to reduce their weight Its all about eating combination food The theory proposed earlier were modified and it was known that the amount of food we have doesn’t matter and only the type of food we intake matters . Actually William Hay was the person who introduced this new technique. he said that in order to avoid extra additional pounds, starch, proteins and sugars must be taken separately. Various Diets and Various problems In due course, most people got exposure to various kinds of food . Another major type food was the fast food which suited the current type of people . Losing fat became more of a problem and still more kinds of diets came into being . still these facts are considered to be very useful and are followed almost by everybody

who wants to reduce weight.
