NEW METRO

SERVICE
When the T-Third opens for full service on April 7, 2007,
Muni will also implement changes to the N-Judah and
the J-Church. As part of the SFMTA’s commitment to
comprehensive, world-class transportation planning,
these changes will provide greater mobility and reduce
overall travel times throughout the metro system.

The N line will now terminate at The


Embarcadero Station (not 4th & King)

CASTRO
T-THIRD
The T line operates from Castro
Station, down Market Street, around
The Embarcadero and down Third
Street and Bayshore Boulevard to
J-CHURCH EFFECTIVE APRIL 7, 2007
Sunnydale Avenue.
During peak hours only, the J line
terminates at 4th & King. During off-
peak hours it continues to terminate
at the Embarcadero Station.

The new T-Third Metro line will connect all of the


Third Street neighborhoods to the full Muni Metro
system, providing a vital link between the southeast
sector of San Francisco and the rest of the City.
It will also give San Francisco over 70 miles of light
rail track. One fare on the T-Third will take you to
both of the ballparks, City Hall, The Embarcadero,
the Bayview Opera House, and more.

Two Muni Metro lines (the J and the T) will connect


to the Caltrain station at 4th and King Streets. Also,
the T-Third will replace the Castro Shuttle, providing
more frequent and consistent service.
