Subject: UPDATE - Denison CPP Duct/Re-surface Project

Dear Residents and Business Persons, It’s my pleasure to announce that the start date for the project has been officially postponed to no earlier than Monday, January 20th. In working with the City and other partners, it is our anticipation that a more detailed press release will go out on either Monday or Tuesday of next week from Mayor’s Jackson’s Administration. Information to be included will be an announcement regarding any changes to the phasing and assignment of detour routes and a definitive start date for construction and commencement of detours. As discussed at last night’s public meeting, issues raised regarding W. 73rd as well as Clark Avenue and the railroad overpass by W. 65th are being re-reviewed as well as access to I-71 and the routing of truck traffic. In addition, GCRTA and CMSD have re-confirmed they had received earlier communications. They are now actively coordinating with the appropriate City Departments in terms of consultations on the detours, scheduling and plans for notifications. We’re also looking into using digital message boards to announce the rerouting and want to re-assure everyone that there will be a minimum of a 72-hour notice of the detour routes once they are finalized. Thank you for your engagement and participation in this important public improvement project.
