“All animals are sad after ejaculation, except women* and roosters.”1 – GALEN (PHYSICIAN TO THE EMPERORS), 129-216 AD “The best opportunity for further development is during sexual intercourse…A prerequisite of such a practice is that you should be able to protect yourself from the fault of seminal emission.”2 – THE DALAI LAMA, 1935“A person’s approach to sexuality is a sign of his level of evolution. Unevolved people practice ordinary sexual intercourse. Placing all emphasis on the sexual organs, they neglect the body’s other organs and systems. Whatever physical energy is accumulated is summarily discharged, and the subtle energies are similarly dissipated and disordered. It is a great backward leap.”3 – LAO TZU (AUTHOR OF TAO TE CHING), 604-531 BC “In obedience to the law of Karezza [a type of sex without orgasm] satiety is never known, and the married are never less than lovers; each day reveals new delights, each hour is an hour of growth, the entire life blossoms in joy…”4 – DR ALICE STOCKHAM (GYNAECOLOGIST), 1833-1912 “The usual sequel to the orgasm is demagnetization, indifference, too frequently irritability, disgust, repulsion and a craving for stimulants, but Karezza irradiates the whole being with tender, romantic, peaceful love.”5 – JOHN LLOYD (AUTHOR OF THE KAREZZA METHOD), 1857-1940 “A man can and should gently insert the penis and keep it inside the female sex so that a divine sensation happens to both, full of joy that can last whole hours, withrawing it when orgasm approaches in order to avoid ejaculation.”14 – DR ARNOLD KRUMM-HELLER (METAPHYSICIAN), 1876-1949 “The reason why men feel exhausted after the loss of even a very little bit of semen is because the body is deprived of the ultimate gain drawn from the nutrient…[so] as a general rule the result of ejaculatory intercourse is exhaustion and weakness rather than relief.”7 – ARISTOTLE (PHILOSOPHER), 384-322 BC “But when a man has shed his semen he is cleaned by washing: a sexual connection involving semen afflicts a man with inauspiciousness for three days.”8 – MANU (PRIMOGENITOR) “When a woman has sex with a man, and there is an emission of semen, they shall bathe in water, and be unclean until the night.”12 – MOSES, 1391-1271 BC “[After spilling his semen] he notices his energy lost and his body stained.”15 – RUMI (POET), 1207-1273 “I can stay really loving after orgasm – for about five days max.”9 – MARNIA ROBINSON (CUPID’S POISONED ARROW AUTHOR), 1954“If the man and the woman knew how to withdraw before spasm, if in those moments of delicious joy they had the willpower to dominate the animal ego and were then able to withdraw from the act without spilling the semen, neither inside the womb, nor outside, nor to the sides, nor anywhere, they would have performed an act of Sexual Magic…”10 – SAMAEL AUN WEOR (ESOTERICIST), 1917-1977 “Happy is he who understands the function of the sperm for the transformation of his being. Unhappy is he who uses it in a one-sided way.”13 – GURDJIEFF (MYSTIC), 1866-1949 “Sensual gratification without a spiritual union is and will always be bestial, afterwards one has no trace of noble feeling but rather remorse.”11 – BEETHOVEN (COMPOSER), 1770-1827 “Spiritual experience is not contrary to sexual experience; it’s just contrary to orgasmic experience.”16 – FRANCISCO MORENO TELLEZ (PSYCHOLOGIST), c. 1980“Could it be that some patients have particularly strong rebound activity in the amygdala after orgasm that makes them feel bad? The research literature is virtually silent on sex-induced depression, but a Google search revealed several Web sites and chat rooms for something called postcoital blues. Who knew?”17 – DR RICHARD FRIEDMAN (PROFESSOR OF PSYCHIATRY)

*Women, hinted at by Marnia Robinson’s research, also become irritable (or sad) after orgasm, but women take days to feel the hangover, while conscious men feel it instantly. REFERENCES: 1. Sex and depression: In the brain, if not the mind - PLEASE NOTE: Karezza and Sexual Magic are two different types of sex that involve neither compulsive animalistic passion nor orgasm (though conception is still possible). Karezza focuses on love, while Sexual Magic focuses on inner growth, though both are acts of love. If you’d like to find out more about Karezza or Sexual Magic (ie. Alchemy), seek and you will find. The sexual energy was made to go inwards, not outwards. And the mind was made to be receptive, not active. Meditation awakens the soul, orgasm puts it back to sleep.
