Oak Hill Police Department now taking applications

Oak Hill is a Civil Service department consisting of 16 members which include the following:
2 detective positions (1 assigned to drug task force)
Code Enforcement Officer
Full time civilian CSI position
Starting salary of $29,619.00
Full benefits including eye and dental, college assistance program, take home cruisers. Longevity and
rank advancement pay.
The department operates from its state of the art, 5,600 sq. ft. facility built in 2010 and is supported by
an administration which allows for the continual updating of safe and modern equipment.
Applicants must be able to meet the standards of the West Virginia Police Academy, and pass a written
exam, as well as a full background investigation including polygraph test.
(physical qualifications waived for certified officers)
Applicants having criminal or serious driving history will not be considered.
Military and certified officer points given to qualified applicants after successful completion of written
examination.
Applications can be picked up at the Police Department or Oak Hill City Hall, Monday through
Friday, 8am to 4pm and must be completed and returned by Friday, March 14th, 2014
