A disheveled man, with a crumpled fedora, Searched the streets up and down for an old lady named Nora She had wandered away from their home this mornin , And the old man was deeply upset, to the point of forlornin

Nora was his wife of fifty years! to him she was oh so dear, And you could tell of his dismay, on his chee" a drippin tear #o $e that close to one person for so lon , #o lose them, without chance of ood $ye, would $e oh so wron

He wal"ed in the $ac" of this yard and there Nora was on her "nees, She was holdin this puppy that she would "iss, pet and s%uee&e #he old man said, Nora you can't wal" off li"e that, (ithout lettin me "now where you're oin , or where you're at

So promise me my dear, that you'll let me "now where you're oin , If you don't, I et upset and my emotions start showin I promise you my hus$and! I don't want you to $e upset, It would really help if I could have a puppy for a pet
