OnLine Aylmer home damaged by fire ILANA BELFER 129 words 16 December 2012 Postmedia Breaking News CWNS English Copyright © 2012 Canwest News Service Eleven firetrucks and 20 firemen were sent to extinguish a small blaze in Aylmer early Sunday morning. Gatineau firefighters were called to the scene at 5:08 a.m. and had the fire under control by 6:45 a.m.

TD Since the two-storey home at 393 rue Thomas-Sawyer is located in a rural area with no fire hydrants, extra trucks with water tankers were needed to ensure they could put out the flames, according to fire officials. The fire started in the technical room due to what was called a "construction defect" in the way the house was built. Three people were evacuated, and no one was injured. Damages are estimated at $25,000. © Copyright (c) The Ottawa Citizen NS RE PUB AN gexplo : Building Fires/Explosions | gcat : Political/General News | gdis : Disasters/Accidents | gmmdis : Accidents/Man-made Disasters | grisk : Risk News cana : Canada | namz : North America Canwest News Service Document CWNS000020121216e8cg0083p
