NETWORK EXPANDING
Distribution capacity and efficiency of the transport and

communication network .
The Government identified- rail transport - a vital tool for economic development of the country.

New rail lines- provide political, social and economic

improvements of the remote areas. 1988-89 to 2011-2012 - Expanded 1676.17 miles (2681.87 km) of new track, - 1779.43 miles (2843.09 km) under construction in preparation stage.
