Funding opportunity
The Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) can offer some limited financial assistance to researchers in pharmacovigilance from low income and emerging countries* (from universities or research institutions) and full-time students from any countries ** who wish to attend the Uppsala Monitoring Centre research conference 2014 as follows: Applications for Bursaries: Participants who may be eligible should apply to the conference administration bye-mailing conference with the completed form (Application form) a short Curriculum Vitae describing current active work and interest in pharmacovigilance (max 1 page) one reference from a supervisor/head documentation of full-time student status (if applicable) The Application Information form should describe the support needed to cover expenses. If you are requesting travel funding, please check with your travel agent or airlines to find the lowest cost to purchase your ticket. For those who are eligible, reimbursement for approved expenses will be made by bank transfer upon receipt of invoice and receipts/travel expenses after the conference (travel or/and hotel reservation must be arranged by the recipient of bursary). The conference administration will ask you to write a short report on your experience at the conference. The deadline for applications is 3 March 2014. If the application with requested documents is not received by 3 March 2014, it will not be accepted for consideration by the conference administration.
