By Elton Camp The neighbor’s dog, Elmo had to endure When he’s out, it’ll bark at him for sure The beast ignored anything Elmo said How fervently he wished the dog dead Yet, he was fearful of making an attack His dog-loving neighbor’d pay him back vernight, the snow fell especially deep ! bit of vengeance Elmo got to reap He was using a snow blower that day When the odious dog got in the way Elmo began to laugh up his sleeve The good fortune he couldn’t believe The dog couldn’t bark after that day His vocal cords fro"en, they fell away
