Sub Code: 10ME65 Hrs/ Week: 04 Total Hrs: 52 Faculty: Prof. Akash.D.A IA Marks: 25 Exam Hours: 03 Exam Marks: 100

Course Objective:
This course sets out a platform for mechanical engineering students, so that they will be able to come up with innovative solutions, manage a multidisciplinary team and work at all levels of an integrated production system. Products or procedures resulting from a mechatronics, or concurrent approach, offer a level of performance that could not have been achieved otherwise.

Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of the course, students will have: 1. The ability to apply the knowledge of mechanical and electronics engineering in order to design a mechatronics system. 2. The ability to identify and understand the concepts of sensors and transducers for the real time interfacing of hardware components systems 3. The ability to use the techniques of electrical systems for the purpose of actuation of mechanical components. 4. The ability to apply the knowledge of mathematics for the development of the mathematical models of the mechatronic systems in a virtual environment. 5. An ability to work in a multidisciplinary streams of engineering and science so that one can avail the best job opportunities. 6. An ability to understand the working principle and designing the systems of micro system packaging. 7. Effective knowledge of the modern engineering tools necessary for finding the dynamic response of systems. 8. A practical knowledge in identifying the faulty concepts during designing of an mechatronic system.
