Background
Globalizationcallsforimproved businessenvironmentsto promotetradeandinvestmentformoreprosperityinAsia.
The Training Project for Improving the Business Environment related to Trade and Investment by the Ministry of
Economy, Trade and Industry(METI) ofJapan has been assisting developing countries in improving their industrial
structureand businessenvironments bysharingtheJapaneseeconomiclsocial system,technologiesand know-how,
all ofwhich have been proven effective for the economic growth ofJapan. The Overseas Human Resources and
IndustryDevelopmentAssociation (HIDA) isentrustedwiththisprograminFY2013*1 byMETI,toimplementtraining
programsthatcontributetotheeconomicdevelopmentandtheneedsofindividualcountries.

In linewiththeschemeofthis Training Project, HIDAwillorganizethe abovesubjecttrainingprogram,incooperation
withUMFCCI,andthistrainingprogram.whichparticularlyaimsatenhancingproductivityofmanufacturingcompanies
inMyanmar,willbeheldasfollows.Thisisassameasthetrainingprogramwhichwasalreadyconductedforover100
participantslastyear,endwillbeopento newparticipantswhohave missedthe opportunitytoattendthecourselast
year.
HIDA:TheOverseasHuman Resources and IndustryDevelopmentAssociation(HIDA) isan organizationforhuman resources
developmentindevelopingcountriestopromotetechnicalcooperationthroughtraining,expertsdispatchand otherprograms.
Through thoseprograms, we aimatcontributing tothe mutualeconomicgrowth ofdeveloping countries and Japan as well as

UMFCCI: The Union ofMyanmarFederation ofChambers ofCommerce and Industry (UMFCCI) wasfounded in 1919 asthe
BurmeseChamberofCommerceand upgradedasafederationin 1999in linewiththeadoptionofthemarket-orientedeconomic
policy. UMFCCI stands asa nationallevelnon-governmental organization representing and safeguarding the interestofprivate
businesssector. Itis dedicated tofulfilling the needsofprivatesector byproviding various servicessuch as human resource
development training, training in commercial education, management and accounting, providing trade information, business
faCilitating services, business matching and consultancy services, organizing delegations for trade fairs, exhibitions, seminars
andstudytoursandotherservicesasandwhenrequiredbytheprivatesector .

2)Accommodation: HIDA will prepare accommodation for participants from areas that are more than 50km
awayfromthetrainingvenuein astraightline.exceptthesamecity. Participantswhoneed
