AN ACT CONCERNING THE LOCATING OF PETS FOLLOWING SEVERE WEATHER EMERGENCIES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 That the sum of twenty thousand dollars be appropriated to the Department of Agriculture, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014, for the purpose of coordinating with municipal animal shelters following severe weather emergencies in order to have information concerning the number and types of animals harbored by any such municipal animal shelter following such an emergency posted on the Department of Agriculture's web site. Furthermore, that the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Agriculture to maintain a list of municipal animal shelters, along with contact information and web links for such animal shelters, on the department's web site. Statement of Purpose: To facilitate the locating of pets following severe weather emergencies.
