Shaw Language Arts 2/21/14 FACTORY FARMING Factory Farming is not being humane to the animals.Factory Farming is not being humane because we humans are being cruel to the animals like putting them into little cages that they cant even walk around or spread their wings. It makes the animals unhealthy.Factory Farming is not Humane because humans are supposed to be nice and kind to the animals but not all animals are being treated as how they are supposed to. Factory farming has become one of the filthiest industries america producing an ocean of fecal matter every year.These are the reason why we think that Factory Farming is not being humane to animals. Animals we eat are being treated in a bad way. They should not be treated this way.Factory Farming now accounts 99 percent farmed animals raised and slaughtered in the United States. Factory farmed animals are crammed together in conditions that prohibit natural behaviour they cannot eat, exercise or form relationships as they are meant to. In some cases, they live without daylight. The animals dont live for a long time and they are separated from their families. The animals get treated bad because the way that they are treated can affect our health. Workers viciously kicking , beating and whipping cows in the face and body, sick and

injured cows suffering from open wounds and infections, and workers dragging cows by their fragile legs and necks using chains attached to a tractor these are just some of the routine abuse Ways that the animals we eat are treated.Factory farmed animals are crammed together in conditions that prohibit natural behaviour they cannot eat, exercise or form relationships as they are meant to. Tyson pig factory farm in Oklahoma uncovered sadistic animal abuse, including workers throwing a bowling ball at a pig's head, and kicking, throwing, hitting, body slamming, and otherwise torturing pigs. The investigator also documented thousands of pregnant pigs crammed in gestation crates so small the animals could not even turn around or lie down comfortably for nearly their entire lives.Many people believe that animals raised for food must be treated well because sick or dead animals would be of no use to agribusiness. Factory Farming is pollution. Factory Farming chemicals use for the animals can affect the earth's pollution. In todays world there are a host of serious environmental problems, and factory farming is one of the top causes of pollution.Scientific research has found that factory farmings method of crowding and confining animals in warehouse-like conditions before killing them and mass-producing both meat from cow, pigs and Chickens as well as dairy and eggs poses an unacceptable level of risk to public health and damage to the environment Yet, despite factory farmings severe social and ecological costs, many governments promote this unsustainable industry to supply a growing global meat market that is projected to double. One concentrated location creates sweeping and devastating impacts throughout the natural and human environments, polluting soil, air and water.Factory farms dump tens of millions of tons of animal waste and agricultural chemicals into the environment every yeardriving land, water and air pollution in process. The animals in factory farms suffer and die, and pollution from these operations harms the health and quality of life of people living nearby.

Humans dont treat the animals as the way they are being treated.A lot of humans have pets and they treats their animal pets very nice but they are not doing that to the animals that we eat and that is something humans should be with the factory farming animals. We promote respect between our consumers, farmers and animals.Some animals such as the dog can help humans when they are blind figure out where we are going. Humans should be more kind to the animals because the animals help us in a lot of things that we have, we eat them everyday and factory farming is just been humane to the animals and its something they need to stop doing.
