March’ featured guests: Nigel Parry & Philippa Boy
Nigel Parry is rapidly becoming an established player in the Wellington region with a strong mellow voice and sympathetic guitar playing. He has performed recently at Wellington Folk Festival, live on radio and at many venues around the country. Philippa Boy is a multi-instrumentalist who has appeared on stage and in film. She plays traditional hurdy-gurdy, dulcimer, ocarina, clog fiddle and sings too. Both feature on Nigel Parry's new folk album 'Row Out to your ship of dreams'. Together Nigel and Philippa perform a range of folk music from early traditional styles to popular tunes and modern singer / songwriter. You're sure of a varied and very musical performance.
