March 3, 2014 SUBJECT: DAYTON MEN ARRESTED ON HEROIN CHARGES IN PORTSMOUTH Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware and Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini announce that on Saturday, March 2, 2014, at approximately 1:58a.m., the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force along with patrolmen from the Portsmouth Police Department arrested two Dayton, Ohio men for trafficking in heroin. Officers arrested 19 year old Davion L. Carson of Burroughs Dr. Dayton, Oh. and 18 year old Keysaun C. Harris, of an unknown address in Dayton, Oh., inside an apartment located in the rear of 847 10th St. Portsmouth, Oh. During a search of the apartment, officers discovered thirty grams of suspected heroin, digital scales, and approximately $2,328 cash. The heroin had an estimated street value of $4,800. Carson and Harris were charged with Trafficking in Heroin and Possession of Heroin, which are both considered a felony of the 2nd degree, and placed in the Scioto County Jail. Carson and Harris were scheduled to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 9:00a.m. Carson had also been arrested as recently as February 8, 2014 in Scioto County for possessing fifty-one grams of suspected heroin and a firearm.
