Wastedo School plans on incorporating resources from the Kahn Academy Website to the already established standard based curriculum program. Khan Academy will be used intermittently to supplement and support your students academic abilities in areas such as math, science and reading. Students will have the ability to utilize the extensive library of content, including interactive challenges, assessments and videos from any computer with access to the web. Khan Academy is a web based resource, so this will be a tool that your child will be able to access throughout the summer (with access to a computer with internet) to help them maintain their ability levels. For this reason, usernames and passwords to access Khan Academy will be sent home if you or your student decided to access the program from home. Khan Academy requests a parent/guardian email for the use of the website for students under the age of 13. We have created a universal Wastedo Student Email for the sole purpose of implementing this exciting learning opportunity. Please return the permission slip by March 7th.
