WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM BOTH THE ROAD AND RAIL AUTHORITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SAFETY INTERFACE AGREEMENT (SIA). 2. ROAD MANAGER APPROVAL IS REQUIRED TO CHANGE THE TYPE OF PROTECTION, RX-1, RX-2, OR RX-5 ASSEMBLY. 3. THE RX-9 ASSEMBLY SHALL BE INSTALLED AS OUTLINED IN AS1742.7. ON ACTIVE CONTROL CROSSINGS CARE NEEDS TO BE TAKEN THAT THE SIGNS (RX-9 ASSEMBLY) DO NOT OBSTRUCT SIGHT LINES TO TRAINS FOR ROAD USERS AT THE STOP LINE AND PEDESTRIANS. TO AVOID EXCESSIVE REFLECTION FROM THE SURFACE OF THE SIGN, IT SHOULD BE TURNED ABOUT 5 DEGREES AWAY FROM THE NORMAL.
