January 31, 2014 To whom it may concern: Tricia Kannegieter was a pleasure to work with, and I can very

enthusiastically recommend her for the librarian positions she is applying for. I am the Web and Data Specialist in the Davenport University Libraries. During her internship at our Grand Rapids location last spring, I asked Tricia to work with me on a short video to train our admissions representatives in introducing our testing center procedures to applicants. Tricia was able to develop the script, shoot the footage on video and edit the finished product with minimal direction. She showed the ability to grasp the critical messaging for the intended purpose and also contributed important ideas of her own. She was always mindful of deadlines, communicated her progress efficiently and clearly at each step, and delivered a great result. What really stood out in her time at Davenport was her real caring and involvement in the priorities of the library and support for student outcomes. She is a person who always takes the extra step, thinks ahead and incorporates prior knowledge in her process. I have read the position descriptions for the positions Tricia is applying for and feel that she is very well-qualified and would be great fit. for Please feel free to contact me if there is any other information I can help provide. Sincerely, Jean Hanks Web and Data Specialist for Davenport University jhanks@davenport.edu 616-929-0766
