A PowerShift New York Campaign

The idea is simple. Ask our representatives in Albany to return $20 per
student from last year’s highly controversial tuition increase to our
campus in the form of a new Green Fund.

The reasons are obvious. The results would make the SUNY system
the most environmentally friendly and forward-thinking public university
system in the country. And the economic effects of implementing green
initiatives at all of the 64 SUNY campuses would ultimately save the
state and taxpayers money in the long run.

The time is now. We can no longer afford to wait for others to address
the growing threat of climate change. Our generation must act today to
ensure a safe and prosperous tomorrow.
