In 1791 Canada divided in Upper Canada (Ontario) and Lower Canada (Quebec).

 1867 Quebec , Ontario, Nova Scotia joined together and become the Dominion of Canada The Government is based on British Parliamentary System Governor General - represents the crown . Parliament consisting of the House of commons and House of Legislate (criminal law , commercial trade and national defense.
