JTD105 SX with and without a MAF (air flow) sensor The engine is idling, and has just been

started from cold. With the MAF connected the intake air quantity and desired intake air quantity values almost match, which should always be the case in the steady-state.

With the MAF sensor disconnected, there is no air temperature sensor either, which is why it shows 40 degrees. The intake and desired intake air quantities do not match, and the air flow signal is at zero volts. With a faulty MAF, the values would probably be somewhere in between those shown in the two screenshots.
