1) What is AQI? What levels are there for air quality? - Air Quality Index.

The levels there are for air quality are five levels, they are good, moderate, healthy, very unhealthy, and hazardous. 2) What is Ozone and why are children most at risk? - Ozone is a colorless unstable toxic gas with a pungent odor and powerful oxidizing properties, formed from oxygen by electrical discharges or ultraviolet light. Children are most at risk because they are active and outside during the day, and their bodies are more sensitive. 3) How does air speed and wind affect the level of smog in the city? Explain. - Because as wind speed goes up, air quality goes down. It also traps smog and toxins. 4) How does temperature affect the level of smog in the city? Explain. - As temperature goes up, air quality goes down. 5) Which type of emission has the greatest affect on air quality? Identify and explain why. - Because they let out CO2. 6) Would you expect there to be more smog on a cloudy day or a clear day? Explain. - Yes, because it traps all of the pollutants and smog. RESET the simulator and try to create the WORST conditions for smog in your cityyou should be able to get the air quality index up to unhealthy levels- What are the readings for each of your variables to produce the nastiest city air? Discuss. * High population causes high temperature because too much C02 and dark dirty smoke are released from cars, planes, factories, etc. produce the nastiest city air. The higher people live in that city, the nastier city air is. We should control our usage to protect our health. There are several ways to get rid of smog city such as plant more trees, using renewable energy instead of fossil fuels, using bike or skateboard instead of car (short distance).
