•Number of loss making institutions decreased from 89 in


FY04 to 59 in FY07
Total turnover showed a growth of 15.2% from Rs
8,373 bn to Rs 9,644 b
Net profit growth was at 17.3% from Rs 695 bn to
RS 816 bn
Divided declared registered a growth of 17.1% from
Rs 229 bn to Rs 268 bn.
Paid corporate tax to the tune of Rs 384 bn,
Earned foreign exchange of Rs 656 bn
Contributed Rs 1,476 bn to the central Government
exchequer.
