I have worked with international students of all English levels, and would like to learn more about teaching them. Diverse learners are in every classroom, and learning how to best teach them is also an important goal I possess. Everett High School, Lansing MI English tutor, helped organize and run the after school mentoring program. I learned that the individual strengths and weaknesses of a student’s academic life don’t define the individual student.

Other Work Experience: 2010-Present

I have worked in the South Complex Dining Services on Michigan State University’s campus as a student supervisor, where I have learned leadership, decision making and organizational skills. I also have the responsibility of teaching all new employees and current employees their roles in the cafeteria. Furthermore, I am responsible for ensuring every customer has an outstanding experience, and frequently must use communication skills to ensure that customers, managers, employees and students are comfortable, informed and enjoy their experience.

Club Experience 2012-Present In 2012, I helped found the Michigan State University Spanish Club as a board member and chair of community outreach. I helped organize events in the community, on campus, and connect native Spanish speakers and learners in a fun environment.
