Manny Pangilinan, one of the countrys most prominent businessmen, has expressed i

nterest in buying an NBA team, the Los Angeles Clippers.

Pangilinan, the current chairman of Philippine Long Distance Corporation (PLDT)
and local network TV 5, says he would even dole out his own money for a stake in
the Clippers team.
Im trying to gather a group of friends to co-invest. The intention is to make the
potential investment, says Pangilinan.
A known basketball fan, Pangilanan already has a team in the local pro league, T
alk n text. and he is keen on having a better perspective of the NBA by owning on
e of the teams.
This is also not the first time the business tycoon expressed interest in owning
an NBA team as he previously eyed buying the Sacramento Kings and the Golden St
ate Warriors, two states that have a huge Filipino community.
