Since the turn of the 21st century several projects have been completed, and more are

underway. The first was the Annino-Butovo etension, which etended the
Serpu!hovs!o-Timirya"evs!aya #ine$ from %ra"hs!aya$ to &litsa A!ademi!a 'an(elya
in 2))), Annino in 2))1 and Bulvar *mitriya *ons!o(o$ in 2))2. +ts continuation, an
elevated Butovs!aya #ine$, was inau(urated in 2)),. -orobyovy .ory$ station, which
initially opened in 1/0/ and was forced to close in 1/1, after the concrete used to build
the brid(e was found to be defective, was rebuilt and reopened after many years in 2))2.
Another recent project included buildin( a branch off the 2ilyovs!aya #ine$ to
the3oscow +nternational Business 4enter$. This included -ystavochnaya$ 5opened in
2))06 and 3e"hdunarodnaya$ 5opened in 2))76.
The Stro(ino83itino etension$ be(an with %ar! %obedy$ in 2)),. +ts first stations 5an
epanded 9untsevs!aya$ and Stro(ino$6 opened in :anuary 2))1, and Slavyans!y
Bulvar$ followed in September. 3ya!inino$, -olo!olams!aya$and 3itino$ opened in
*ecember 2))/. 3ya!inino$ station was built by a state-private financial partnership,
uni;ue in 3oscow 3etro history.<27= A new terminus, %yatnits!oye Shosse$, was
completed in *ecember 2)12.
After many years of construction, the lon(-awaited #yublins!aya #ine$ etension was
inau(urated with Trubnaya$ in Au(ust 2))> and Sretens!y Bulvar$ in *ecember of that
year. +n :une 2)1), it was etended northward with the*ostoyevs!aya$ and 3aryina
?oscha$ stations. +n *ecember 2)11, #yublins!aya #ine was epanded south by three
stations and connected to the @amos!vorets!aya #ine$, with the Alma-Atins!aya$ station
opened on the latter in *ecember 2)12. 9alinins!aya #ine$ was etended past the
3oscow ?in( ?oad$ in Au(ust 2)12 with Aovo!osino$ station.
+n 2)1, the Ta(ans!o-9rasnopresnens!aya #ine$ was etended after several delays to the
south-eastern districts of 3oscow outside the ?in( ?oad with the openin( of @hulebino$
and #ermontovs!y %rospe!t$ stations. Bri(inally scheduled for 2)1,, a new se(ment of
9alinins!aya #ine$ between %ar! %obedy$ and *elovoy Tsentr$ 5separate from the main
part6 was opened in :anuary 2)1C, while the under(round etension of Butovs!aya #ine$
northwards to offer a transfer to the 9alu"hs!o-?i"hs!aya #ine$ was completed in
2ebruary.
