Service Program Design

Spring Semester 2014
RULES OF SUMMARY (1)

COVER PAGE
1. (see the attachment for the margin and contents)
2. The cover page should be handwritten using blue pen.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
1. (see the attachment for the margin and contents)
2. The “PART I”, “PART II”, etc. is written in the letters.
3. The part titles (ex: AS SIMPLE AS ABC, PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS, etc.) is
written in capital letters.
PART TITLE PAGE
1. (see the attachment for the margin, contents and border)
2. Unlike the book, I the summary we will not draw the picture of each part title page. It means
that we must only write down the title and the sentences written in the book. No picture.
CONTENTS
1. (see the attachment for the margin, contents and border)
2. For the contents page, we will start writing from the first line up to the last line.
3. For the new section of each part, all managers can create their own empty lines to make it
separate from the previous section.
PAGE NUMBER
1. Page number is put outside the writing area (see the attachment).
2. The page number is counted starting from the PART TITLE PAGE, however managers must not
write down the page numbers on that page (make it invisible) and start writing the page number
from the contents page.

RULES OF SUMMARY (2)
Overall, the managers can create their own summary based on their opinion which part should be re-
written and which part is optional to be written. To make it not really different, we’ve got some easy
rules to make things easier:
1. No need to re-write the quizzes in the summary (ex: Integrity Quiz page 26, Common Sense Quiz
page 27, etc.)
2. No need to write the references in each chapter or part.
3. No need to write down all of the examples, only choose one (1) example for every section
(example: page 132-134, etc.).
4. No need to write down the appendix.
5. No need to write down the questionnaires examples (example: page 142-143, etc.).

THESE RULES ARE SUBJECTS TO CHANGE. SINCE WE HAVEN’T GOT ANY INFORMATION ABOUT
SUMMARY, WE’D JUST MADE SOME RULES BASED ON THE PREVIOUS SEMESTERS SPD WITH SOME
LITTLE CHANGES.
WE RECOMMEND ALL THE MANAGERS TO START SUMMARIZE THE BOOK AND TYPE IT IN LAPTOP FIRST,
INSTEAD OF WRITING IT DOWN ON THE PAPER DIRECTLY (to avoid some unexpected new rules from the
owner).
