1. Goal

By February 3, 2015 Austin will be able to write a 5 paragraph essay using general academic and
domain- specific words. Scoring at least a 3 or higher on the essay rubric from 2 out of 5 to 4
out of 5, measured by the special education teacher using an essay rubric.

In addition to being approved by their high school to participate in the High School Select program,
students must show appropriate assessment scores to enroll in desired classes. Students may either
take the Accuplacer test through Front Range Community College, or qualify for an assessment waiver
with ACT scores of at least 19 in Math and 18 in English
Accuplacer test consist of:
•A mathematics test
•A sentence skills test
•A reading skills test
•A 300-600 word essay

respond effectively when interacting with teachers from 1 out of 5 to 4 out of 5, measured by
the special education teacher using an effective communication rubric. (Scoring at least a 3 or
higher on the rubric)

3. Goal

By February 3, 2015 Austin will be able to balance a checkbook given specific variables such as
expenses and incomes from 2 out of 5 to 5 out of 5, measured by the special education teacher
using the student checkbook. (Checking to see if the check book is balanced or not)
