Lesson 3: Sharing Faith Conviction Worksheet
1.Explain why the church is a mystery.
It is a mystery because her salvific richness cannot be exhausted, there is always more
to learn; a reality we can never fully grasp and never able to fully understand due to the
limitation of our human intelligence.
2. How do the human and the divine nature or aspects of the church complement
each other?
Within the Church is the human and sinful, and the divine and holy; Within the Church is
the visible and changeable, and the invisible and permanent; within the Church is the
earthly and the heavenly. Since a part of the nature of the Church is spiritual it is
through the eyes of faith that we can see the hand of God accomplishing things in the
Church that which could not be done by humans alone.
3. From your own observation today, does your church stress both her visible
and the invisible aspects? Support your answer.
Yes, our brothers and sisters in central visayas especially in Tacloban City experienced
a very difficult situation, Wherein not only their houses were gone but most of their loved
ones as well. In relation to the question the visible part shown of the Church (each
member) is that they are helping each other aiding their brothers and sisters in Visayas
of their necessities. As for the invisible part, we are not only helping them through relief
efforts that they are needing, but the Chruch is also praying for spiritual guidance which
they also need especially in a time like this.
4.Where do you see the hand of God accomplishing/ resolving matters in the
Church in the past as well as in the present which humans alone cannot bring
about?
We see the hands of God in times during/after a problem or a travesty had come to
peoples lives. It shows that God never and will never leave us alone. That He will
always be there watching and quiding us. As what people say, Theres always a
rainbow after the rain. It means people should not lose hope and must have more and
stronger faith in God.
