1-Children who are
48-60 months listen
carefully to teacher
in order to pay
attention healthy
and unhealthy food
during reading story
and rearrange the
story.
2- They understand
what they listen and
make implementation
by using the items
which they listened
during the story.
In this activity,
teacher starts by
saying “Today is
reading book day
so I want to share
with you my story. I
prepare a cartoon.
Let’s watch a
video” and start
with a short story.
Teacher thinks that
visual materials are
more effective in
learning process,
she prepare a video
by go-animate.
After watching
story, teacher
direct to children
some question
related to story
such as “what was
the story about?”
and “who
remember the
healthy and
unhealthy items?”
Thanks to these
questions children
connect the dots in
the story.
After watching
video they create
their own story
with teacher. All
children rearrange
the part which they
did not like. They
share their story
one by one and
teacher record their
story telling process
by video recorder.

Teacher can make
evaluation by
recording video
when children tell
story.
S/he also directs
some questions
related with
activity at the end
of the activity and
during the
process.
If site link does
not work,
teacher read
story text and
imitates and
show
characters by
role model.

1-Children who are
48-60 months will
make the
movements which
are necessary for
fine motor skills after
cutting the pictures
and gluing the
materials to the
poster in order to
develop their fine
motor skills.
2-Children who are
48-60 months will
organize healthy and
unhealthy foods in
order to avoid eating
unhealthy foods
which threat the
health.
After sharing the
story, the teacher
will apply an art
activity.
Because the teacher
wants to get
children’s attention
to the activity, s/he
prepares an
attractive
presentation with
Prezi. With Prezi,
they discuss about
healthy and
unhealthy foods.
Because to develop
children’ s fine motor
skill, the teacher
wants children to cut
and paint the
pictures and then
with these pictures
they are wanted to
create a poster which
includes healthy and
unhealthy foods.
Thus, it can be said
that they work not
only individual but
also with group.
Moreover, they use
scissors and paints
and papers as
instructional
materials and also
presentation with
Prezi and poster with
Pictochart as media.
In this activity, the
teacher prefers to
ask questions to
children for
evaluating
children’s learning.
Moreover, the
teacher especially
asks open ended
questions so that
children can
explain what they
think and develop
their language
development.
Some sample
questions which
the teacher
prepared to ask:
What did you do in
the activity? What
kind of unhealthy
and healthy food
did you learn?
How did you feel
when we group the
food as healthy and
unhealthy? What
do you think why
these foods are
unhealthy?
Moreover the
teacher sends a
checklist to home
as homework. With
the checklist, the
teacher can not
only involve
parents to
children’s
development but
also evaluate
children’s learning.

If they cannot
connect the
Internet, the
teacher shows
the pictures of
healthy and
unhealthy foods
to children by
printing out
instead of
showing them
with the
presentation.

1-48-60 months of
children use fine
motor skills by
cutting photographs
of foods properly.

2-48-60 months of
children make a
proper pattern with
active movements by
using healthy and
unhealthy foods.

At the beginning of the
activity, teacher tries
children to remember
some of the healthy
and unhealthy foods
which are learned
before by asking
questions. When s/he
getting answers, s/he
prepares a concept
map by using the
pictures of foods which
children said. Then,
teacher prints big
pictures of these foods.
Children cut these
pictures. With using
these pictures, they
play a game. Every
child takes one picture.
Then, teacher sticks the
pictures on body of
children by using duct
tape. After that,
teacher draws a line to
the floor with masking
tape. Firstly, teacher
helps children to come
on this line in an order
like healthy- unhealthy.
Therefore, they make a
pattern from healthy
and unhealthy foods.
Then, s/he wants
children to make
another pattern. If
children success
making this pattern,
teacher says them to
make another type of
pattern like two
healthy- two unhealthy
foods. It depends on
children’s decision. At
the end of each
pattern, children can
take photograph of
children’s pattern. They
can talk about them
when assessing the
activity.
During this activity,
teacher observes
children when cutting
the papers. If there is
any children who
need to improve
his/her cutting skills,
teacher takes note
about this child.
During whole activity,
teacher makes note-
taking. S/he already
writes answers of
questions which s/he
asked to the children.
S/he continues to
take notes during
whole activity in
order to measure
children’s learning.
Before applying
the activity,
teacher should
prepare the
instructional
materials and
media which s/he
will use during
the activity.

48-60 months of
children use
language skills when
communicating.
In the explanation at
below, we have an
activity example for
last week.
With using survey,
teacher assess
children’s learning.

During these weeks, the teacher prepares blog to involve parent children’s development, to share parents
these applied activities and also discuss about some topic related children’s development. Moreover, from
the blog the teacher wants parents to ask anything which they need to know. They can give suggestions to
other parents. Maybe, they can share some activities which they can apply with their children each other.
Moreover after all activities are done, the teacher wants to measure and evaluate for whole month.
Moreover, s/he prepares a survey for children and ask some open ended and close ended questions. The
survey is prepared with obsurvey.com. Then, s/he puts this survey to the blog which they already use.
Then, the parents are informed about this survey and give some information about why it is necessary.
Then, they are wanted to complete this survey with their children. In this way, the teacher assesses
children’s current knowledge after all activities. Moreover, parents have more information about their
children and also they do not keep away the class and children’s development.
