net November, 2009 Dear Classmates, In my letter to you last April, I asked you to please save your pennies so you could join us in C-town to celebrate our 40th Reunion. Now I need to thank you for saving and attending the Reunion on the River last May, one of the best attended WC Reunions. I very much enjoyed seeing and talking with so many of you including those with 30-40 years to catch up on! It was also a special treat to have so many former professors join us for the informal gathering in the library. Now we have to figure out what we can do better for our 45th and 50th Reunions!!! Furthermore, I wanted to thank you for your very generous contributions to the 2008-09 Washington Fund. At the Saturday evening dinner, a “check” for $88,103.34 was presented to President Baird Tipton as our 40th Reunion Class gift to the College. This gesture obviously represents our gratitude to our alma mater both for the preparation we received plus our commitment to a liberal arts education for future WC students. Please continue your financial support so Washington College can continue to provide scholarships, enhance campus facilities and provide a quality liberal arts education. Again, thank you! Those of you who attended Reunion were able to see first hand some of the current building projects. As an update, The Daniel Z. Gibson Center for the Arts officially opened to the students and faculty on the first day of classes. The new Hodson Hall should open its doors to the students this month and the Alumni House is scheduled to open an entertainment porch by the spring of 2010. These and other future projects are vital in order to attract and retain the students who cherish the Washington College experience. Please continue to check the WC website for current news. Also, I encourage you to please submit class notes so we all can read your news. You can submit class notes on line by e-mailing them to: classnotes@washcoll.edu or by sending your information to the Alumni House on the enclosed form. Let’s see how many submissions will be received from our Class! Please, do keep in touch. Sincerely,

Linda Your Class Representative ‘69 PS. Check out our new class website at: http://1969.washcoll.edu/ Send in your photos and a bio to Judie Barroll at jbarroll2@washcoll.edu
