Seeking to obtain a position in which I can apply my skills constructively and aide others
beneficially.

Teaching Philosophy:

Everyone is different- no one is the same and neither is their brain. Therefore my goal is to teach
all students put in my care the way they need to be taught. I believe school is for learning and
will make sure that every student learns something no matter what their level is, whether they are
ahead or behind. I will do my best to make lessons interesting, because anything else would be
cheating both the students and the subject matter.

Designed and implemented a lesson plan over 2nd grade measurement TEKS which
used a game-like atmosphere to successfully convey information.
Observed an elementary 2nd grade classroom for a school year.
Taught 2nd grade math homework.
Aided students with one on one assistance.
Observed, albeit briefly, a 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade class.

Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) 08/2012-06/2014
Participated in a can drive run by the State Fair to provide food for the Texas Food
Bank twice.
Organized a series of free writers workshops for the students of Mckinney High School
that focused on the improvement of general writing skills through the use of creative
writing application. This was entered as a project in the FCCLA competition and won 5th
place at regionals and qualified for state.

Mckinney High School Education and Training Student Intern 08/2013-06/2014

Assisted Faubion Middle School Drama 1 and Advanced Drama classes over a school
year.
Led improvisation activities to familiarized the concept with beginners and keep
advanced students on track.
Demonstrated the importance of stage positioning and taught the vocabulary necessary
for blocking an actors script.
Casted 21 students in Humpty Dumpty is Missing, or the Case of the Missing Egg.
Directed a class play, Humpty Dumpty is Missing, or the Case of the Missing Egg,
for the 21 students in Drama 1.
Aided Advanced Drama with their competition One Act show, Twelve Angry Jurors,
for UIL.
