his is a story of how I rescued two horses—one a paint filly, a little girl, and the other a mare, a big girl that was going to have a foal. They had been left without food and water. The owners couldn’t afford to feed them very much, and they were hungry and needed attention, but the owners were broke and couldn’t do much. My friend came to my rescue and helped me get my drive and get up and go on the move again. I tried and saved the girls, and she saved me.  Joyce is my best friend, as well as her husband, Ike, and this is how they helped me to start writing again. I would love to see this story get out for people to see and read especially at bedtime to their little kids who love animal stories. I would love to do that myself for my grandkids. I would love to see these done in editions or volumes, starting with this first one; this story is about this little baby colt.He is no prince, nor will he wear a crown. He will not rule any country, but his story is in the newspaper here every month. He has captured the hearts and admiration of readers and neighbors and love of my family. He has no royal blood, but his sire is papered. So here in a little place up in the mountains called Williamsburg, Colorado, just outside of Florence, Colorado, a new little beauty was born on July 12, 2013. This may not be a castle, but it’s home to me and my Li’l Smokey.
