SPECIA L U PDATE FOR THE SU PPORTERS OF URBAN MISSIONARY SCOTT R EESE

We have a name change to CHRIST CARES. Prayerfully we finally have a name that everyone can remember. Matthew 9:36-38 has long been a theme of our ministry. Christ cares for the poor, the lonely, the broken hearted, and we believe it is our duty to proclaim and demonstrate that love. ―Body of Christ Cares‖ is now dissolving and CHRIST CARES is the new 501c3 that we are using. Some of you know Rich Van Til who worked with me when we converted RRM to Body of Christ Cares. Rich and I decided it would be better if we both used and expanded our gifts in areas we were best suited. Rich will continue his own ministry called ―Faith and Action‖. I’d appreciate your prayers for him as he launches this endeavor. All the ministries we’ve had in the past are continuing. Please review the enclosed brochure and our website, www.ChristCares.org, for more information. A SPECIAL THANK YOU to all those who donated school supplies— because of your generosity hundreds of Chicagoland children were blessed and helped. Also importantly, they were reminded of God’s love. UPCOMING PROJECTS: We are collecting canned hams until Nov. 21. Due to economic conditions, the Agape center had to cut their regular donation of 100 thanksgiving baskets to us to 50. We are also collecting Christmas Toys through Dec. 20. We will be sending out a separate flier for the ―Christ the Greatest Gift‖ toy project. WE NEED SNACKS AND CRAFTS! On Tuesday evenings we provide an evening of fun at Roseland Christian Ministries’ ladies and children shelter. We provide a brief Bible lesson, snacks, a game, and a craft. We are looking for 4 groups who would be willing to cover the cost of this special evening once a month. You could buy the snacks yourself or provide the funding. (The cost of Little Debbie snacks, chip bags, & juice for 75 is about $60. We also pay big Bryon $30 to help us out and be our unofficial body guard! The cost of the craft varies). HOLIDAY GIVING –During the holiday season, Christians often make special donations to charities. These gifts have a powerful impact. Please prayerfully consider donating to Christ
