Bastile Soap Recipe

2 oz castor oil
8 oz coconut oil
22 oz olive oil
4.41 oz sodium hydroxide
10.56 oz distilled water
x2 fills small wood mold
cold process soap
hot process
liquid laundry soap
coconut oil 12 oz
lard 4 oz
potassium hydroxide lye 4.98 oz
distilled water 12 oz
yields 32.8 oz
20 to 25 minutes to reach trace in crockpot on high. use stick blender and spatu
once trace is reached you turn crockpot on low
30 min later stirr soap, it should be thick and white at this time.
stir every 30 minutes till it turns translucent, about 3 1/2 hours do clarity ch
eck 2oz water to 1oz paste, stirr till dissolved in the water. If solution is mi
lky then you need to cook the soap longer, if clear you can go to the next step.
2 parts water to 1 part paste after 24 hours
add add citric acid to water, then add paste, set to warm and let cook for 8-12
then you can add superfats or fragrances and bottle soap...
Liquid laundry soap
8 oz lard
1.1 oz lye
2.3 oz water
mix lye and water and then add to room temp lard, the hot solution will melt the

pour into molds
2nd recipe is "vegan"
8 oz coconut oil
1.45 oz lye
3 oz water
same as above mix to trace
pour into molds
leave to harden overnight
prepare washing soda
this is great
pour baking soda on cookie tray that has been lined with wax paper and cook at 4
00 degrees for 1 hour
24 hours later the soap is solid and needs to be ground up or shredded
2.5 oz soap
4 cups boiling water
mix till all is dissolved
then add
1/2 cup washing soda
1/2 cup borax
mix till dissolved
10 to 12 drops of orange essential oil
add 1/4 cup to laundry
for the coconut soap you grate and add dry ingredients and blend thouroughly...
use as you would dry laundry powder.
