The Republican Party of Texas platform is finally out -- and it’s worse than we thought.

I’ve lived in Texas my whole life, and I have never seen something as out of step with
Texas values as this 2014 GOP platform.
By enforcing this platform -- and all Republican candidates are required to enforce the
entire platform -- Republicans will take our state backwards, harm Texas families and shut
down our Texas economy.
They’ve dug themselves into a hole with their platform, and we’re here to make sure
they are held accountable. Chip in $5 to help do that.
Here’s some of the worst things Texas Republicans are responsible for implementing:
 Greg Abbott promotes “reparative therapy” to “heal” Texans of their homosexual
lifestyle.
 Dan Patrick denies a woman’s right to choose, even in the case of rape or incest.
 Comptroller candidate Glenn Hegar supports reducing funds to all levels of Texas
education.
 Attorney general candidate Ken Paxton favors the repeal of the Voting Rights Act
and opposes nondiscrimination laws to protect all Texans.
 Land Commissioner candidate George P. Bush wants to repeal in state tuition for
children of immigrants.
 And Railroad Commissioner candidate Ryan Sitton wants to repeal the minimum
wage for Texas workers.
 Agriculture Commissioner candidate Sid Miller believes there’s no conclusive
evidence of climate change.
Bernardo, these guys are taking our state backwards. They are determined to undermine
equal protection and equal opportunity in Texas.
We can’t let their toxic rhetoric corrupt our communities.
Thankfully, we have a solution to this problem -- electing more Texas Democrats to local,
state and federal office. Donate $5 right now to ensure we elect more Texas Democrats:
