APPLE PIE RECIPE

Ingredients :
 4-5 good sized apples cut into eighths, enough to fill the pie crust. (Yellow Delicious or
Granny Smith is what I think she used)
 1- 9” Pie crust with top
 1/2 Cup flour
 1- Cup sugar
 2- Tbsp Cinnamon ~ divided (Less if you don’t care much for it)
 1- Stick butter cut into thin pats
 3/4 Cup brown sugar ~ divided
 1- Egg ~ Beaten
Directions :

A. First step : Mix apples, Flour, sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon well and pour into crust. Then
add pats of butter and sprinkle with ½ cup brown sugar, after that cover with crust top
and make 4 to 5 slits for air to escape.
B. Step 2: Brush top of crust well using egg Then sprinkle remaining ¼ cup of brown sugar
over egg. If you prefer and like Cinnamon add remaining cinnamon.
C. Step 3: Place on a baking sheet and put in pre-heated oven 350 degrees. So bake between
60 to 65 minutes " check on it around 45 minutes and add aluminum foil if crust is
desired look of golden brown so it won’t burn during the last 15 minutes.
You will know it is done if your juices are bubbling through your slits!
