The Qunut Prayer

Said during the third rakat of the Witr prayer, after recitation of the Fatiha and a surah or
ayat from the Qur’an
Alla-humma in-na nas-ta’een-uk
wa nas-tah-deek wa nas-ta-ghi-fir-uk
wa natu-bu il-ayka wa nu’minu bik
wa na-taw-akk-alu il-ayka wa nuth-ni ‘al-
aykal-Khay-ra kul-lah
Na-shkur-ak wa la nak-fur-ak wa nakh-la’u
wa nat-ruku man yaf-dju-ruk
Alla-humma iy-yak-a na’abud wa laka nusallee
wa nasdjud wa ilayka nas’aa wa nahfid
Nardju rahmatak, wa nakhsha ‘adhabak;
inna ‘adhabaka bi-l-Kuffari muhaq
wa salle-l-llahumma ‘ala sayyadina
uhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa
sallim
O God: we beseech You for help and guidance,
and believe in You and extol You,
and are thanful to You and are not ungrateful to You!
"nd we declare ourselves separated from, and we re#ect whomever disobeys You!
O God: to You do we pray and prostrate ourselves and to You do we offer ourselves,
and we are $uic to obey You!
"nd we hope for Your %ercy and we fear Your &rath, for Your &rath will overtae the
deniers!
O God: exalt our %aster %uhammad and his people and his true followers!
